    JAMB, Institutions Approve 160 As Cut-Off Mark For 2019 Admission

    The 19th Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria has approved 160 and above as the national minimum benchmark for admission for the year 2019 into public Universities. NAN reports that the meeting held at Bola Babalakin Auditorium, Gbongan, Osun State, on Tuesday also approved 140 as minimum UTME score for admission into private universities. For public polytechnic, 120 UTME score was approved, while 110 score was approved as the least score for admission into private polytechnic.

    Eleme Language Centre To Launch Eleme Counting System

    The President of Eleme Language Centre, Chief Osaro Ollorwi has disclosed that the Eleme Counting System will soon be officially launched in order to enhance counting in Eleme Language. Ollorwi made the disclosure when he inaugurated a five man committee to plan the official launching of the Eleme Counting System.     JAMB Remits N5b To FG From 2019 UTME

    The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it remitted N5 billion to the Federal Government’s purse after the conduct of its 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This is contained in the board’s weekly bulletin signed by the JAMB’s Head of Media and Information, Fabian Benjamin. He explained later in a telephone interview with NAN that the federal government gave back N2 billion out of the N5 billion to the board to enhance its operations. “The board returned N5 billion to the federal government, but out of that amount, the board was given N2 billion to further enhance its operations,” he said.
