The board Chairman of Elano Investments Limited, Chief Okanje Gomba has charged youths to imbibe values that would enable them to effect positive change in the course of history of Nigeria.
Okanje said youths stand a vantage position in making right the mistakes of past leaders as they prepare to take the front seat in making decisions that would drive development, peace and progress for the future of Nigeria.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by students and teachers of Ascension High School, Ogale Eleme, his Alma Marta, the Elano Board Chairman advised the students to endeavor to always show kindness to people they meet because according to him ‘ One act of kindness to anyone regardless of tribe, culture, religion and race can change our society for the better”
Okanje who expressed satisfaction with the outstanding performance of members of the Okanje House in the just concluded inter-House Sports Competition of the Ascension High School, Ogale Eleme charged the students to maintain a healthy balance between sports and academic activities in the school so as to achieve their dreams.
Responding, leader of the team, Mr. Adonis Nwachukwu thanked the board chairman for the prompt sponsorship of the Okanje House which he said resulted in adequate preparation and subsequent winning of a bronze trophy at the competition.
He, however, stated that the school management’s decision to name a house after Chief Okanje was owing to his various philanthropic and youth empowerment and educational initiatives.
In his vote of thanks, a student of the school, Solomon Gilbert said he was greatly inspired by the numerous achievements of an old boy of the institution. Gilbert said he was particularly excited to meet with a man that has become a pace setter of development in the society.
